Overview:
Carentan, France, nestled between the
sea and the marshes, Carentan stretches out, deep in the "
baie des Veys". this small town has preserved an
architectural heritage whose wealth and diversity will surprise
you: the church of Notre-Dame and the organ, both listed
monuments, the Town Hall, a remarkable, a square with 15th
century arcades, all that remains of a covered market, the wash
house, an interesting 18th century building, the Canal Bridge, a
unique construction, the passage of the 4-Lane N 13 road under
the wet dock between the harbour and the sea.
As with most of
France, Carentan has a lot of historical value to previous wars
in the region.
